Please join us for a conversation with Sharon Hurley Hall (she/her) who will discuss the genesis of her book Exploring Shadeism, an analysis of the colorism phenomenon in Barbados and the wider Caribbean. She will also discuss the colorism phenomenon today and her current anti-racism work.

Sharon is an anti-racism activist, writer and educator. She is committed to doing her part to eliminate racism and is the creator and publisher of an anti-racism newsletter. In addition to her writing, she is the co-host of The Introvert Sisters podcast.

Sharon is also a professional B2B writer and blogger. She has blogged about digital marketing and small business for companies including Amex, Square, Taboola, OptinMonster and CrazyEgg.

Sharon holds MA degrees in Media and Cultural Studies, and in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education. She helped develop and teach the MA Journalism program at Coventry University in the UK.
